Our practice focuses on treatment for sex addiction, insomnia, substance abuse anxiety disorders and relationship conflicts. Therapies include sex addiction treatment based on practices established by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals,  our   Sleep and Serenity Program  aka CBT-I, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression and anxiety, 12-Step Facilitation for substance abuse and process addictions, stress management skills training, dual-diagnosis management, acute and chronic pain management while in recovery, and Gottman-informed couples therapy.  With respect to dual diagnoses (e.g., substance dependence co-occuring with anxiety or mood disorders) we work closely with clients who also participate in pharmacotherapy with an outside psychiatrist. With respect to anxiety disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder, body dysmorphic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and substance-induced anxiety disorder, our treatment process is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy or EMDR Therapy--the gold standards of treatment for anxiety disorders, particularly when related to trauma.
